Ward Mediation Solutions
Emmett J. Ward is a highly experienced mediator and trainer with a rich mediation and conflict resolution background. He has mediated thousands of cases and trained hundreds of mediators. Emmett has provided training for numerous law schools, including the International Training Program at the Center for Negotiation & Dispute Resolution at UC Law San Francisco. He frequently speaks at notable events such as the American Bar Association Dispute Resolution Section Annual Conference and the Association for Conflict Resolution, sharing insights from his extensive experience in dispute resolution.

During his fourteen years as a mediator, Emmett has demonstrated significant leadership and impact in the field. His roles include Lead Mediator for the Maryland District Court Day of Trial mediation programs, staff Family Mediator for the Baltimore County Circuit Court Office of Family Mediation, and performance-based certified mediator with Community Mediation Maryland. Additionally, his work as a researcher underscores his commitment to the field.

As a Senior Manager at the DC Courts Multi-Door Dispute Resolution Division, Emmett developed and delivered extensive training programs and provided ethical guidance to mediators. Additionally, Emmett worked for the Maryland Judiciary's Administrative Office of the Courts Mediation and Conflict Resolution Office (MACRO), offering technical assistance and evaluation support. Emmett served on the Major Project Committee Online Dispute Resolution Work Group. He was an instructor at the Judicial College of Maryland, providing 40-hour basic mediation training to Judges, Magistrates, and court staff. Emmett serves as an Ombuds for the Federal Emergency Management Agency and leads Ward Mediation Solutions.
